Walked the dog for 1.1 miles as a warmup. Dropped her off and ran 3.25 miles, pushing the pace. Got the dog again and did 1.5 mile walking cooldown. Stretched the legs good and iced.

Knee hurt on about a 2 until the turnaround of the run. After that I didn't notice it anymore.

Hmmm... is the knee maybe getting over its self? I sure hope it is :) I am jealous of your BEAUTIFUL miles :)

I wish I knew, Marion. I really do. I need to focus on taking the anti-inflammatories and using the anti-inflam. cream regularly. I haven't noticed the knee getting any better since I started running, but it is also not getting any worse. I think I'll start adding in some leg workouts (as long as they don't cause pain) and give it another month before I call the doc again.

Patience - you too will be running again soon.

It's SO hard to tell what to do. go to the doc? Wait? Run? No run? I think you may be right, just wait and see. I sure hope the pain just quietly leaves you alone.

I have been working on researching a talk for next Sunday. The topic: The Atonement - focusing on the pain Jesus suffered (cheery - isn't it?). Makes me feel like a real wuss in comparison - but there you have it. :)

That sounds like a real bummer of a topic. Is your bishop trying to depress everyone? The mothers day topic I was given was, what do you think Mary felt like at the crucifixion. I told the bishop he was nuts. She felt like crap, end of story. I am sure you will do a great job.

LOL - Thank you for a good laugh! I can just picture you saying that.

When they told me the topic, I said, 'You have to be kidding me!' Apparently our regional rep asked that each ward have one person speak on that topic and I am the lucky one. My last two talks have worked out to be related to marathoning....wonder if this one will be?

I am glad the pain goes away once you get running, that is always a good sign, right???
