Woke up refreshed with a low heart rate, but the joints were all very stiff when I got up, so decided to take today as a low impact day. Walked the dog for 2 miles this morning before work.

Hi there! Thanks for your comment, It was so great to meet you at Brick Oven and Congrats on your race! I love your "tribute" to MichelleL, I agree with you, she is amazing to cheer us all on when she could be angry that she's not running herself. She's awesome. Good luck w/ your continued training - - - you seem like such an amazing runner and person :)

Thank you, Amber. You did great in the race. Congratulations.
MichelleL is awesome. So are so many people on this blog. I really think that 95% of the active members are so supportive of each other and that support helps us to grow and develop according to our desires. It has been great to get to know so many wonderful athletes through the FRB.

That low HR is indicative that you're recovering well, right? Good walking to keep the joints from rusting. I second your sentiments about the great people we "meet" thru FRB. I've said this before: there's so much more to running than running, especially the running fast part.

Your training plan sounds pretty good but remember endurance is king in the marathon and speed is mainly hereditary when it applies to the event. Go for it.. Sub 5 hrs is well within you I'm sure if you can stay healthy and focus on that endurance factor. Have you ever read Arthur Lydiard?

Good to see you getting out and about! You are an amazing woman, so glad I got to know you!!! Oh, and check out that HR! Holy cow...are you alive??

Picked up a WiiFit off KSL.com last night. Now I just have to use it.
Steve - I have heard of Lydiard and his long run training - I'll have to order one of his books and check it out. Thanks for the advice.
RAD - no - I am not alive. But I keep up the facade so they keep giving me paychecks at work.
