Nice miles and SUPER nice pace :) Is Jen still in town?

Thanks, Marion. It was a tough run. Can't believe how much my endurance dropped in a week.

Jenn is in town until the morning of November 3rd.

Dang - I just realized I probably won't be able to make Michelle's party because of my eye surgery. :-(

Oh yeah! I forgot to ask. So what's up with your eye? I was telling David about it and we were both totally freaked out. Are you feeling OK?

Maurine, nice miles and pace! Eye surgery?!!! What's happening? Best of luck to you!

From Maurine/Tarzan on Wed, Oct 21, 2009 at 23:57:10 from 97.117.61.249

Marion and Smooth - I was diagnosed last year with Recurrent Corneal Erosions in the right eye. Because of dryness from lasik surgery and my hysterectomy, my eyelid started tearing off the top layer of cornea. Kind of feels like a knife stabbing your eye (or so I would imagine) when it would happen in the middle of the night. They put me on eye ointment at bedtime that let it heal.

However, it recurred (maybe that is the Recurrent part?) last week and I was in serious pain. The eye doctor described it as my eye looking like a thumbprint is on it. They put a contact lens on to keep the pain down and I saw the head doc at Moran Eye Center who scheduled me for PTK laser surgery on November 5th (unfortunately I got this problem right before some major eye doc convention).

Yikes, that sounds painful! I am so sorry! I hope the surgery works and you recover fast with no lasting effect/pain. I will keep you in my prayers.
