I spent yesterday afternoon and evening in bed - just resting and talking to my kids on the phone.

I am feeling better this morning (knock on wood). I still have a cold - but don't feel like death warmed over today.  I have worked too hard to get ready for Saturday and have been under a lot of pressure at work, so have decided to call in and take a vacation day today. I want to relax, pack my car, nap, and keep my feet up and not feel stressed.

You should go check out Crockett's blog.  He is doing the Moab 100 tomorrow.  Makes me really look like a slacker!

I will be mentally cheering on all of you running the Riverton Half tomorrow!  What time does it start in the morning?  That way I can be calculating where you are at while I am running.

Good girls for calling in sick! You have worked WAY too hard for this :) I am so glad that the weather will be close to perfect.

Oh- I may have to break down and read the Twilight books. I am totally sucked in by the movie. DARN IT!! I was not reading them on principal! I am SO week!

Sounds like a good plan to take today off to get yourself ready and psyhed up for the 50 miler. NO WAY are you a slacker. You have worked hard and prepared well. The Riverton 1/2 starts at 9 am. Where will you be at that time? We'll be thinkin' of ya. Enjoy the journey. You will do GREAT on this adventure. Can't wait to hear all about it.

9:00 a.m. - I should be between 12 and 15 miles in - so finishing up the Split Rock Bay Loop and heading around White Rock Bay towards the aid station at the start/finish line.

Yo, you'll be 1/4 way done, cool!

I guess so. Hadn't thought of it that way. I am trying on focusing one aid station ahead. If I think of how many more miles I have to go, Leslie might find me in a fetal position on the trail. :)

You can run 50 miles, no problem. Here's to health and strength... We'll all be cheering for you in our hearts all day tommorrow! Enjoy the parts you can. Can't wait to hear about the journey! Good luck to you!!
