1.5 miles with the dog.

Later - met Matt (Twinkies), Kyle, Lindsay, and Nate up in Bountiful and ran the Mueller Park Trail up to the Big Rock and back (3.4 miles each way). With about 1/2 mile to go I rounded a corner and scared a deer about 5 feet in front of me (or it scared me).  What a pretty site.

Driving out of the canyon, I saw the most gorgeous sunset over Antelope Island/Freemont Island and the Great Salt Lake. I was able to continue watching it for about 5 miles until I got on the freeway.

I took a vacation day tomorrow to do a long run.  I'm waiting to hear if it is too late to enter the Logan Peak Trail Run this Saturday. If it is too late - I might do 20-30 miles tomorrow. If it is not too late - I will stay under 15 tomorrow.

Thanks for coming out to the run. It was nice to meet you. You were looking great up that hill. Did you make it to the Rock before those motor bikers came down?

WOW, check out your mileage this week. Great hill/trail run! Have a great run tomorrow...15, 20, or 30. You're AMAZING!

Matt - no - they passed me a little before the rock. That was a new experience up there.

Smooth - just trying to be you when I grow up.

Maurine, great run last night. I wish I could have been there. Next week I am out of town on Tuesday, so I won't be able to make it then either. If you are in Sandy I'll try and let you know when Enoch and I hit the trails so you can join us, if you can do early mornings. We always go T,Th one week, M,W,F the next. That is just how it works for me so I can help my wife with the kids. Most trails we run are in the Sandy-ish area.

Good luck on your long run. That Logan Peak Trail Run sounds like a good one.

Jun - I'd love to learn more trails. I am much slower than you - but could just run my own pace. Let me know - but I need a few days notice. A lot of days I am in the office around 6 a.m. - but I can start around 9 if I let them know in advance.

Ha. I don't mind speaking for Enoch and saying that he is pretty dang slow. Together, we always take a nice easy pace. I'll try and give you as much notice as possible and we can meet up. We are just learning a lot of these trails ourselves, so it will be fun for all of us.
