Ran & walked 4.8 miles to Leslie's house this morning.  It is almost all uphill - so walked the bad uphills.

We drove up to Park  and did 4.4 miles on slushy sloppy trails. Saw a neat fox that I took some pictures of will my camera phone.

Ran home from Leslies house - another 4.8 miles. I thought the downhills would be easy - but there was a stiff headwind from the southwest. I felt like I was walking - but was actually doing between 10.5 and 12 mph.

I'm tired.

Later - I forgot to mention that Leslie and I decided to run the Grand Slam this year since I was already doing Ogden, Park City and St. George and had been thinking of doing Utah Valley. Once she mentioned that Utah Valley was one of the official marathons - it was a no brainer.

Nice miles this week! You are AWESOME! Is this your highest mileage ever???

From tarzan on Sat, Jan 24, 2009 at 16:08:19

Nope - it is my second highest mileage. My highest was last February when I went to Phoenix to trail run and started out with the Lost Dutchman Marathon on Sunday and ran over 80 miles that week.

However, I am ready to rest for the week as of now. :)

YOu ought to be tired, you running fool you! Thanks for putting up with my wild ideas and being such a happy camper in such crappy conditions.

I will curb the potty language, can't afford to pay you all my money.

Les - anytime. I would be lost without your friendship - so will always be willing for a partner.

65 miles!!! YEAH, you are TOTALLY AWESOME!

I can not believe you two are nuts enough to do the Grand Slam. Well, I can believe it, but you guys are nuts!!! I will come and be your cheering section!!!

My plan is to push on Ogden, use Utah Valley and Park City as long training runs with aid stations, and give everything I got at St. George. (Plus, when you run the Grand Slam you get a guaranteed entry into St George if your name is not picked)

Tarzan!!! DA DIEHARD ULTRAWOMAN! Great mileage week. You deserve a medal for being such a trooper of a friend. I can't believe you ran to Leslie's house. WOW!!! GOOD JOB! I'm so excited you're doing the Slam.
