No running today.  Woke up with some kind of bruising below some toes on my foot. I might cross train in the pool - but when I left this morning it was two hours after the pool was supposed to open and it was still not uncovered.

PM- ok, I lied.  The pool never opened today - guess everyone here is a wuss.  Twinkies has been tempting me with a trail running group from The Front and they had a run scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight on the Pipeline Trail.  It was quite an adventure getting there in the downpour and nobody else showed up.  I wore some new trail running shoes and decided I really wanted to run in the rain and was going to do 3 miles. At the turnaround I thought I would extend it to 4 miles, before I knew it I had run 3 miles in and needed to run back. It was one of the best runs of my life.  I will try and describe it tomorrow in my personal blog.  Basically, I enjoyed a solo run with God and prayed the entire run.  My cup is full now.

I hope it is not the new shoes!

Kelli - I don't think it is. I walk around barefoot all the time and may have bumped my foot without realizing it.

That is good! I do not see how a shoe could bruise you anyway. BUT YOU NEVER KNOW!

Hope those toes get better! Is the pool in your complex or a public pool? When I lived in a condo I'd always have to bug them to open the gym/pool in the morning..or wait 30+ minutes. Hope you got your swim in anyway.

I have had some minor bruising like that from pounding excessively in one area. Usually it's not a big deal as lomg as it is not painful.

Bummer that you were the only one brave enough to show up, but I am glad it all worked in your favor and you had a great run!!! And I am glad there was no report of you getting stuck in the mud.

So it was a blessing no one else showed. So glad your cup is full. Have a great week!

What a great entry. New Shoes, alone with God. Isn't that the "bread of life" and the whole point of running? I hope you don't mind if I crash the Brick Oven party Friday. I'll call Marion to see if I can tag along (when you'll be where). See you!

Maurine- WHAT IS UP WITH THE FOOT COLOR? Weird. GET BETTER! Do you need an iron on for your shirt? I just made mine. I hope it sticks to my shirt :) I hope I don't melt my favorite shirt :( What did the doc say today???

Luz- you had better come!!! We are going to pick up packets at 6:20 and then dinner at 7:15 at the Brick Oven. Jorge is invited, of course. I need to call right now for a reservation :) I wonder if they take reservations?
