Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

I've been gone since last Wen.  Drove my parents, daughter and nephew to Roseville, CA for my nieces wedding. Boy, what an event.   Couldn't believe all the disasters!!!  A few of the issues were......Faucet leaked so no water just before the chef's arrived.  Sewer smelled in the morning a couple of days ahead.  Gas leak in the neighborhood. My sister and her boyfriend broke down in the middle of Nevada and had to leave their van there to get fixed and rent a car.   What was amazing about the wedding is that the couple did and made everything and all the help were volunteers.   Couldn't believe the kindness of everyone there.  The chef's were even volunteers.   They are very blessed to have so many kind people in their lives.  They had record heat and of course the wedding and reception was outside.  But, it was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been at.

Nice to get home and run this morning.  Ran 7.25 around the river and Freeman Park.  Just alittle tired, but felt ok.

Ran alittle earlier today.  Sure felt tired!  Not sure if it was from yesterdays run, taking all those days off going to Calif or from working out on my lunch hour at work.  Either way legs felt heavy and like jello. Nice running in the cool weather.  Sprinked for a few minutes.   Just glad to get some miles today.

Windy outside today so I broke down and went to the gym.   Ran 7.25am.  Easier than yesterday!  Just stayed in Zone 2.
