Short-Term Running Goals: Just keep running!
Long-Term Running Goals: Marathons...and maybe an Ultra Run if I really need a challenge. Personal: I am 26 years old. I am the Production Coordinator for all visual communications for Kiawah Island Real Estate. I've been a runner since high school, and I have a competitive nature that should explain my high mileage. I challenge myself to accomplish what I never imagined I could do, and I try to encourage myself and others to push their limits. I'm usually late to parties and social gatherings, since I have to get the run in first...(but luckily, I have great friends who acknowledge my routine). I suffered a bad case of plantar fasciitis March of 2010, and I picked up cycling/spinning while I recovered. Surprisingly, I totally loved it. I only ran on a whim or on weekends, or on vacation days when my gym was closed. This fall, I finally got back into the swing of things and started racing again. I'll try to update my races and runs more frequently. I'd like to be where I was 2 years ago....12 miles a day...I mean...what?!?! =)

So I rocked the race this morning! It was freezing cold, but the rain held off. The start was really slow, not sure why. I think I was too far back, but I made up for lost time once I managed to break out from the pack. Official time was 1 hr 32 min, about the same as last year, but conditions were less than favorable this time around. I'm happy with this one! And I won my age group: 18—24.
