Personal:

I am 26 years old. I am the Production Coordinator for all visual communications for Kiawah Island Real Estate. I've been a runner since high school, and I have a competitive nature that should explain my high mileage. I challenge myself to accomplish what I never imagined I could do, and I try to encourage myself and others to push their limits. I'm usually late to parties and social gatherings, since I have to get the run in first...(but luckily, I have great friends who acknowledge my routine). I suffered a bad case of plantar fasciitis March of 2010, and I picked up cycling/spinning while I recovered. Surprisingly, I totally loved it. I only ran on a whim or on weekends, or on vacation days when my gym was closed. This fall, I finally got back into the swing of things and started racing again. I'll try to update my races and runs more frequently. I'd like to be where I was 2 years ago....12 miles a day...I mean...what?!?! =)

People know me at the gym now. I'm like a celebrity...sort of...intriguing at least. Last night, I was told I was "inspirational." I'll take that! If we can be sources of encouragement to other runners, that's all the gratification I need.

You're a celebrity on the blog, too. For some you're an inspiration and for others you're probably a bit intimidating. I mean, you're by far the leader in mileage this year. That probably scares some people. LOL!

Hahahaa well Burt, you would be happy to know I'm only 5 feet, 2 inches tall. So I'm not too intimidating! :)

You may be small, but you're a ball of fire. Everyone's afraid of fire.

ENUFF! You are going down this week!

Mary, don't seem so surprised. I'm sure you hear that every day haha =) Keep up the great work! When is the next race?

From Running on Full on Fri, Feb 05, 2010 at 09:49:43 from 208.60.95.30

I'm supposed to run a half marathon Saturday, Feb 6 on Folly Beach, SC. But the weather looks really bad, cold heavy rains, wind. I'll decide when I wake up tomorrow, whether or not I want to put myself through that. Wet shoes for 13 miles? Blisters? If it's not raining, I'll go for it!

From Adam on Fri, Feb 05, 2010 at 10:52:12 from 68.59.20.62

I am running that race tomorrow as well. I think the race is supposed to be cold, but not wet. I'll be out there with my wife and baby boy so if you recognize us, then feel free to say hello. Good luck if you decided to run.

Benny, I thought you were going to beat Missy last week in miles.

From Burt on Sun, Feb 07, 2010 at 14:54:23 from 98.177.216.165

I hope you have a time machine. Do you have a time machine? Because if you did, that would be awesome.

From Running on Full on Sun, Feb 07, 2010 at 15:10:43 from 68.159.46.238

Ohhh man. I did beat him last week! However, according to Twitter, Benny ran 18 miles this morning. I'm out the door right now, and I'm not sure how far I'll make it today. It's a little chilly out but it's sunny and calm. Deep breath. I'm out.

Mary: If I was in your neighborhood, I would be running with ya! but since I'm not I envy every day you go out to do more miles than me lol! Yes you did beat me last week..

Burt: I'm still leading the chart with yearly miles! lol

From Burt on Sun, Feb 07, 2010 at 16:07:21 from 98.177.216.165

Geez. You've both run about 4 times as much as me. LOL!
