Personal: Married to Elizabeth (she got me running in 2003). We have three boys, Lucas (12) , Sam (8) and Ollie (5).
Many years ago, I read that the AVERAGE male is capable of a 2:40 marathon. I decided to test that theory. I began running in 2003 with Top of Utah as my first marathon (4:24). I need 3 more minutes.

| | Trail run from City Creek up to Black Mountain. Tough run, but I hope to do more trails this season. | Add Comment |
| | Little sore from the trail work-out, but the weather was great so ran from my house up into the Avenues. I usually run through the cemetery in the Avenues (Center St.). This is a good 0.3 mile hill. | Add Comment |
| | Track interval work-out at East High today. I waited until late in the day, due to the University of Utah girls track team training there, but they were still on the track in full force when I arrived. I stayed out of their way and completed 5 x 800 with warm up and cool down. It was very windy with lots of dust in the air. | Add Comment |
| | Perfect cool weather for running. Did the standard Sugar House park loop, but a little quicker today. | Add Comment |
| | Windy tempo work-out at East High in between the snow. Warm up and cool down with 4x1600s. There was some Utah track distance runners working out today. I wonder how their team is doing this season. | Add Comment |
| | Speed work at Highland. 7 x 200 with warm up and cool down. Tried to sign up for Hobble Creek after my morning run, but it was already closed! It just opened up for registration today! Stopped by Salt Lake Running and checked out their grand opening. I won a shirt, but they raffled off a ton of shoes and even an Addidas sponsorship (includes 4 pairs of shoes). | Add Comment |
