:( Anyway- regular run, no pains or aches. I am fully participating
in Redemption Monday, as I have been on a dessert BINGE since last
Wednesday night. I have some serious damage to fix. It was somewhat
of a surprise that I behaved so badly over the past few days, but it
was a really busy time and I don't do well with busy or an abundant
supply of CRAP!! I will spare you the list of indiscretions as to not
make you hungry. It is going to take at least a week to fix this food
disaster, but oh well. Hopefully I have learned from it and won't make
the same mistake again, or at least as BAD! ;) Took the boys on a walk to Crest. It was a brisk walk as the boys were running ;)
***Week one day 3 of the push up challenge. I AM A WIMP!! booo hooo!

Icy roads, stiff head wind, snow, dark; this was the first 2.78 miles. Icy roads, STIFF tail wind, light; this was about 3/4 of a mile after the first 2.78. Icy roads, light tail wind, high school traffic trying to kill me.
That wind was something else. I was a knock you off of your feet. I checked my garmin during the stiff tail wind and I was in the 8's and 9's. It felt like someone was lifting me and pushing me along. It was pretty cool, except for the crapy road conditions :( *** Around the World core

I have been getting sick since Saturday. It's not bad yet, and I am hoping all of the EMERGEN-C is helping to avoid full blown illness. I am only like a 2 on the scale. Lots of tea and blankies today ;)
I don't know if I have ever shared this before, but I am a paranoid hypochondriac for the first 1-2 miles of every run. "I'm sick," "That pain could be a stress fracture," "There is probably a murderer in the canyon," "Maybe it is pneumonia," "Am I having a hear attack?" "Is this what a stroke feels like?" As you can see, I am totally insane, so it is hard to tell the difference between legitimate illness and my standard craziness! I am getting better at it and today I could tell that by mile 4 I would be hitch hiking home so I turned around at the mouth of the canyon. I am going to lay on the couch with my sick kids and watch movies. Mac threw up all over the preschool yesterday and Ford was up coughing last night. Oh the joy! I just hope that Mac had some food poisoning from school and not the stomach flu! Isn't that sad when you hope for food poisoning as to avoid an outbreak of the stomach flu in your home?
49:44, ave 14:54, best 11:36, Splits-15:19, 15:23, 14:18 No wind today, just nothing to give. This was one of those days that I could tell the run would be taking more FROM me than giving back. ** push up challenge day one week 2- 4,6,4,4,6

Yes, some butthead was making a right turn onto Main Street and didn't look before he turned and just about smashed me. I gave his rear fender a big ol bang with my hand and kept on going, a little afraid he'd turn around and kill me. Not the smartest move on my part as he was the one with the big ol car and NO brain in his head ;) The run was great today. I had a hard time getting myself going, as seen in the splits. I wish I had more time this morning, I would have gone futher. Oh well, off to work ;)

Brain pain :( Migraine and sinus headache. I think I am coming down from my sugar high of last week. I am going to try 2 miles after my daughter is awarded her scholarship at 2. She won it from Zion's bank. It's 44 degrees outside :) 48 degrees and the most glorious run EVER!!! I am in love with today!!! It is really funny how the canyons effect the winds. We have these valleys and hills that funnel the wind in different ways. I wore SHORTS and a long sleeve. I was warm until the head wind got to me. We are off to the temple :) Have a fun weekend!

~2 hours, 10:44 ave, best 7:35, Laps- 10:33, 10:14, 10:24, ____,_____,____,12:17, 11:28, 12:26, 13:09, 12:37 The splits from Luz's garmin ( 10:10/10:18/10:28/11:09/11:06/11:49/11:01/12:23/11:49/11:50/13:01 and 12:/58 for .50) What a FUN run! I drove to the Provo River trail and meet Luz for an 8-12 miler. We stopped to stretch at mile ~3 and I forgot to retart my garmin :( She showed me a great ham stretch that I could do on the run. It really helped that bad boy loosen up ;) I am so glad she was with me. She kept me entertained while I huffed and puffed along :) That trail is SO beautiful. Alright- have you ever skipped rocks onto a semi frozen lake? That was the coolest sound ever! The lake was SO beautiful! I want to move into Luz neighborhood. It is cute and looks really quite and butts right up to the Provo River Trail, which is eventually supposed to end up hooking into the JRP!
Luz is so much fun and a GREAT running partner. I think we are going to try to get together more often. We want to try the Porter Rockwell trail and run down Hobble Creek. As soon as the canyon thaws, I'll try to loure Luz down to run down our beautiful Payson Canyon. It was SO fun! Y'all should come too and we can have breakfast at my house when we are done ;) THANKS LUZ!!! It was SO great to meet you and spend a great run together. My bum is officially kicked as seen by the last splits! ;)
