Adventure run, in honor of KimR's AWESOME marathon!  I went out for six and decided I'd better do more to honor her 45 minute PR!  YES, a FORTY FIVE minute PR!  She is a ROCK STAR!!  Anyway, I headed out onto the canal trail at the end of Payson and into Springlake.  Well, about half way to Springlake, there was suddenly a guy with a chain saw in the trees off of the trail.  I didn't see him, but I could hear him and I calmly freaked out.  I was going to do an out and back on the trail and stick with 7, but I high tailed it to Springlake and decided to run out to the highway and home with TONS of cars and people as to avoid a possible chain saw massacre!   The guy, or girl for that matter, was probably just cutting wood or something normal, but I have a vivid imagination and a chicken heart!  So, on my way home on the highway for EVERYONE to see me, I needed a potty break..... BAD!  No where for a VPB, so I had to walk for a bit less than a 1/2 mile.  I ran again when it was "safe."  So FINALLY I get to my friend, Jennifer's house to find no one home.  I tried the door.... OPEN!!  :)  I go in to see they have a new HUGE black lab.  Fortunately, he was friendly and let me use the very PRIVATE, well stocked bathroom with a sink and hand towels :)  I made it home .1 mile short of 8 so I ran up the street a bit to get an even 8.

A potential chain saw massacre and trespassing all in one run. Way to go, girl!

Also, a 45 minute PR is incredible!

Nice run, I think you should always avoid people with chainsaws!

Hola Chikas!!! I am such a BOOB! That chainsaw dude just freaked me out :) I need to text my friend and confess my potty stop ;D

Hey Luz! The WW 5k is going to be June 5th at 1 pm. You know you want to come and hang with me :)

From LuzyLew on Mon, May 17, 2010 at 19:12:31 from 208.187.197.42

That's what I was trying to figure out. I do want to hang with you, and I was going to offer help since I'm right there. Buuuuut, I told a friend from out of town that I'd run 10 miles of the Squaw Peak 50 miler that day sometime. I hope I can fit in both. Also-- I hope by then the trail is open...it's looking like it could be passable in a few weeks (maybe not, this is Provo City we're talking about here--making a bridge to nowhere). What time is the 5K?
