I am the self proclaimed FEARLESS leader of the FRB's RED HOT PINK CHICKS!!! Our Motto's are- 2010 "Diamonds and Titanium, Thats what we are made of!" 2009 "We are water-proof-dye-in-da-blue-crazy-nut'n-gonna-stop-us-fun-lovin'-red-hot-pink-chicks!!!"

The next official RHPC event is the RHPC 1/2(5k, 10k, 10 miler) July 16th, 2011. PLEASE join us !!!

I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born. I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband. My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

First mile net down hill and conversley last mile net up hill. Middle three, flat flat flat! I ran to Salem and back on the highway. The run felt great. There was a tad bit of pushing going on, but I could have run further.

I wore my hot pint outfit and got two honks. I think I ran so fast because I was SO embarrassed! I look like an idiot! I like the shirt but the pants ride up my bum and they are HOT PINK! Oh well- live and learn!

It was 42 when I left and it's 46 now. I was cold the first 1.5 miles and was wishing I had brought my gloves and ear muffs. The last 3.5 miles were prefect.

All FRB's going to Painters- we are wearing hot pink and red. I will admit the pants are a bit much, but who knows, maybe I'll learn to love them. They especially look great against the white show in the BRIGHT sun!!! :D

That must have been a sweet site. About Painter's I have 48 hours to decide (price goes up and I refuse to not pay early price for a race). Basically I am wondering if I will sleep at all with three night shifts in a row the last being Thurs nite. I probably will sleep-run thru Painters or hopefully be so adrenalinized from lack of sleep and lots of chocolate...I will let you know Friday. Thanks for the invite. PS I don't have any Hot Pink to wear.

1. I am not going to Painters. Can I still wear Pink and Red adn cheer?

2. What's your next short term goal after Painters? Is it rocking? Because you already do that!

Benn- You may wear the "colors" if you post a picture! Do you think you can handle the "colors"? My 11 year old said, "Wow- that's AWFUL!!!" She was right. My next goal is to run the 5k in under 28 and a 10 k in under an hour. I also really want to "race" a 1/2. I am hoping I will be ready to race one either in May(ogden) or hopefully for sure by august(Hobble Creek).

Julie- Thanks, you would have DIED laughing if you had seen me. It would be great if you can come- but if it were me and that much sleep weirdness- I'd be migraine city. For me, just sleeping out of my bed will guarantee a migraine sunday or monday for sure. My head is such a pansy!

Oh my goodness...I don't know what I would do if I ran past a hot-pink runner out here. We'd really stop traffic if it happened to be a day that I was wearing my neon green running shorts. They are so obnoxious, but I love the pockets!

And, uh...can someone tell me what Painters is?
