Way to go at Painter's! You did great! Keep up the good work. I injured my ribs by slipping and falling hard on my right side on the only patch of ice on my entire 5 mile run early last Wednesday morning. I just could not take in deep breaths without pretty bad pain. I tried light jogging in the parking lot prior to the race and knew I wasn't going to be able to do it. So I walked it, which was a great experience. I'm doing some better and have finally been able to return to running with just some discomfort. I should be doing pretty good by Moab in March. Watch out for the black ice, it will get you every time.

Thanks Artichoke- Did you know I LOVE artichokes :) DARN THAT BLACK ICE!! I am so sorry you got beat up right before Painter :( I am SO glad it was a good experience for you. Broken ribs are a real bugger! When I broke some ribs, I turned out to be allergic to the pain meds they gave me so I threw up over and over. I think that is the only thing worse than just plain broken ribs- throwing up with broken ribs :D
