Real quick entry before work.

49:30, Ave pace 13:40, best pace 8:30, Laps-13:34, 13:18, 10:53, 10:30(.24m)  I did walk a 1/4 mile warm up with a stretching session the middle of that, per Michelle's suggestion :)  Thanks!  Only a 10 min ice bath today.  I ran out of ice :)  My tub is an old iron one, so it stays VERY cold.  I cannot believe the tremendous effect it has on post running legs.  They feel perfect.  I just wish it wasn't so cold ;D

Great to run!  Beautiful day!  I'll check out all of your runs after lunch!  Good luck and be safe!

An ice bath in an iron tub?? BRRRR!

I am glad you had a good run and could still appreciate the beautiful day (I have a hard time putting the two together!)

Stay well!!

Yeah!!! Strong legs! Keep it up. So do you put cold water in the tub and ice and SIT in it????? I have never done an ice bath....not sure I REALLY want to know....but tell me anyway. Have a great day!

I actually dump ice in the tub. Then I sit myself down IN THE ICE and then add cold water. It seems less shocking than ploping down into ice water. I is REALLY amazing what it does to the legs. I mainly am doing it because my hamstrings were a little too whiny on friday, and I needed to ice my calves so I thought, what the heck, I'll be Michelle and ice it all. I am truly amazed at how much it kept the legs from complaining during the day. They feel fresh and springy ;D

The ice bath method that works best for me is to sit in the tub and start filling it with cool water, then cold. My body can handle it creeping up slowly that way. Then, once I have the level where I want it to be, I dump in a bag of ice and scream.

Brillian Maurine! I will go do it. I just got home ;D
