No run today.  My ITB was really tender last night when I rolled it, so I am going to cut it some slack today.  I think I may go on a slow easy FLAT bike ride after breakfast with Will in tow.  From what I have read, easy flat riding is OK for ITB cross training.  I am SO glad that I did not get into St George.  I would be SO freaked out right now.

*** 74 minutes bike ride with Will in the trailer :)  It was pretty relaxed but tiring.

Glad you are taking it easy Marion.

Are we still on for Cheesecake Factory? Who all can make it? Maurine and I are good to go, Kelli said she would try and make it. Smooth said it might be hard to make it after her 20 miler..... any one else interested? Are some of your kids doing the TRI?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 12:58:39 from 24.8.167.243

Way to look on the bright side about not getting into St. George.

I hope your ITB feels better tomorrow.

From LuzyLew on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 13:22:07 from 208.187.197.42

I am sorry to hear that ITB is still bugging you. I secretly wish I had not gotten into SGM. I have come to the conclusion that SGM is bad for people with children of school age (who also have a job). The diminished daylight plus onset of pre-school routine really takes the joy out of training. Be glad. I hope you are going to post info on the pig wresling for those of us who want to come....Have a great, flat bike ride. That sounds like a nice idea for today.

From leslie peterson on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 13:23:29 from 76.23.61.78

I really want to see you pig wrestle!

From marion on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 14:40:13 from 71.213.124.121

74 minutes bike ride with Will in the trailer :)

Luz- I am really thinking that the UVM may be my yearly marathon. Mentally, I am SO excited to be outside from all of the winter CRAP. It keeps me running through the winter and then I can recover all summer in the lakes and pools with nice little runs sprinkled through out the heat :) Why don't you come to the wrestling??? AND to the cheesecake factory on the 12th :)

Les- Oh yes- there will be pictures and hopefully video of the event. YES for Cheesecake Factory :) Is Maurine's sister coming? None of my kids are doing the tri :( I am a lonner :( Ash is going to do the 5k for onion days :) Next year I'll get her to tri with me. She is signing up for Cross country :)

Carolyn- I am sure it will be better tomorrow :)

From LuzyLew on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 14:43:19 from 208.187.197.42

I WANT to come to Pig Wrestling but will need instructions/location details (PM me! I'm coming!). Sept 12th is jam packed for me. I'll be lucky to get my 20 miles in with Smooth and Co. I have Kidney Camp to run that weekend (250 transplant and dialysis patients all weekend at Aspen Grove). I can't even swing a nice dinner the night before :(

From RAD on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 14:56:25 from 76.27.12.70

Marion you're so smart with your training! I can't believe that ITB is still giving you issues, aren't they the biggest boogers ever!!! I can't wait to see you Monday :) Keep the good work up!

From marion on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 14:57:31 from 71.213.124.121

All I know for now is that it is at the Salem Arena at 5:30 pm. I will get more details and email them to you.

OOhhh kidney camp :) fun :) Busy girl.

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 15:44:29 from 71.219.64.200

Nice bike ride!!!

Have you tried taking Aleve every am and pm? I credit it for working miracles, love the stuff!

Rachel and I talked about your pancakes today to get us through our run. We decided a 10k is not enough to warrant so many calories, but oh well!!!!

From marion on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:39:58 from 71.213.124.121

Kelli- I am pretty leery of Aleve. I retain a TON of water whenever I take Aleve or Advil, like 5-12 lbs. With my last kidney function test showing "low", I am not going to take it unless I can't walk. A few years ago my dad actually went into full blow kidney failure after taking Aleve. He recovered after a 2 week hospital stay. I am probably over reacting, but I am kinda liking running like a wimp :)

The 10k should burn off the pancakes, but the SYRUP and the whipping cream are another story :D I may skip the pancakes and just have the syrup in a bowl, topped with the whipping cream :) FAT BUTT/GUT SOUP!

From RAD on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:41:41 from 76.27.12.70

mmmm...I like the idea of Fat Butt and Gut soup!

From marion on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:42:19 from 71.213.124.121

It will be rabbit food for the rest of the week :)

From leslie peterson on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:50:05 from 76.23.61.78

Marion, is your hubby coming up to cheer you on?

From Smooth on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 17:30:36 from 71.36.65.90

NICE bike ride with Will in toll! Take care of that ITB! I'm looking forward to the 10K and the pancakes. Can't come to watch the pig wrestle. My son has football game every Fri. night. It's so scary to watch him get creamed! May be I can bring strawberries to go with the Fat Butt & Gut soup?

From marion on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 17:35:28 from 71.213.124.121

OOOhhhh, that will make our soup perfect!! STRAWBERRIES!!!

(we wrestle sat at 5:30) Oh and Smooth, the final performance of The Wizard of Oz is 3pm on Monday. I do have 2 free tickets any performance excluding the final one on Monday. Call me asap if you want them. I am going to raffle them off at my meeting tonight.

From leslie peterson on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 17:40:24 from 76.23.61.78

What did I miss? Wizard of OZ? Is that down in Payson? Are your kids in it?

From marion on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 17:50:37 from 71.213.124.121

No, My kids aren't in it. There are no thespians in my home, so far ;) Smooth has a friend in it, or something close to that. The community theater does a production every summer and it culminates for Onion Days. It is usually pretty good :)

From Smooth on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 17:59:23 from 71.36.65.90

The counselor in my Stake Primary Presidency is going crazy. Her husband is one of the main lead guy and all her kids (except the 4 mon old) are the munchkins.

Yes, Marion, I'd love the free tickets to the Mon. matinee at 1pm, is that right?

From marion on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 18:08:10 from 71.213.124.121

I think they are not good for Monday at all. I will nave to do a quick check.

From marion on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 18:10:16 from 71.213.124.121

The tickets are only good for the Friday and sat night performance at 7:30pm

From Smooth on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 18:11:46 from 71.36.65.90

Darn! THANKS anyway!

From seeaprilrun on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 19:10:18 from 205.172.12.229

74 minutes!?! Will did rather well--must have liked it if he let you go for 74 minutes!!

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 21:50:21 from 71.219.64.200

Do not tell me that, as I am living on Aleve right now.

From leslie peterson on Thu, Sep 03, 2009 at 19:21:00 from 76.23.61.78

From marion on Thu, Sep 03, 2009 at 21:39:01 from 71.213.124.121
