Alright, this was my first real bike ride in probably 25 YEARS! It was very fun to go that fast! :D It took me a while to figure out the two sets of gears (NO laughing). I was afraid that I might die, but it really went well. No mishaps at all. Also, I had always thought that reading was a requirement for having a drivers license, but I guess not. Even my 2 year old knows that a stop sign is RED and says STOP! I guess there are a bunch of illiterate people out there ;)
A few questions- my fingers kept going numb on my right hand, any pointers and any seat suggestions? My bum is NOT going to want to do that tomorrow ;) Also, is biking primarily a quad exercise?
6.24 biking miles, 39:10, ave pace 6:17, best pace 3:17, laps- 7:39, 7:50, 5:23, 5:26, 5:44, 5:34, 6:39(.24)
Hey LOOK- my slpits look like those of a fast super hero runners on this blog!
Sasha said to count 12 min of hard riding as one mile. This ride was a test of the emergency exercise system, it was only a test.
No limp this morning :) But... a mini limp all day :( I am going to ride all of my miles this week and try running next monday. That should give it plenty of time to heal. (I am hoping and praying) Hey with all of this riding- I may end up in Cedar City. I have to go pretty far to get in the miles, 29 running miles this week (about 60ish in bike miles)! Tomorrow I will go to Spanish Fork :)
6.5 miles this evening. Went on a repeat bike ride this evening with David. I bought a new seat earlier today and had to test it out. It felt MUCH better than the old pointy stabby one. Tomorrow David is going with me again and we are going to go to Salem Pond and there abouts! I like riding my bike. I even did it with no hands. The speed is a little freaky to me. Oh, MAJOR head wind this evening. Seriously, it virtually stopped us heading up the canyon. I am guessing that this injury is good, in that it got me back on a bike again.
The limping is virtually gone this evening. I am going to go soak in the creek for a bit with hubby and enjoy the wonderful evening! |
