This was my first 25K. I enjoyed it. Took a lot out of me. Did not pace myself as well as I should have. Learned a few lessons. Look forward to next one. Weather was fantastic.

The first mistake was: I pushed myself right off the bat running that hill.

Second: Got to the first aid station and they were filling cups up and did not see me. Instead of stopping I pushed on through. That was dumb.

Third: My watch rubbed my side, stopping my timer. I lost my pace time then.

Fourth: Tried to pace my self with other racers by staying ahead. I was running through that (obstacle course) forest like I only had a mile to go. Big mistake.

I had a great time. Trying work out the soreness now.
