10 miles this morning from the in-law's house in Logan over towards Smithfield. Kind of a rolling hills course. I ended up getting out around 10am (I had to see Italy lose in the World Cup) and really enjoyed the weather. I averaged 6:36/mile for the entire run. Very happy with that. Did another 4 miles this afternoon in the hot weather. I wanted to hit tempo miles. I found part of the run this morning which had a .75 mile hill climb so I decided to hit that this afternoon. The hill section of this run was a good push and I ended up averaging 6:04/mile. I now realize it is easier to run at higher elevations than in extremely hot weather. Still slowly getting the turnover going and hitting faster times. |
