| | I found out this weekend I am in charge of setting out a 5k course for my 10 year class reunion. It will be fun racing against all of my overweight football buddies. Hopefully I can beat them. I ran from the house over to Snow Canyon High School and laid out a pretty decent course. It should be lots of fun. I plan on pushing Norah in the jogging stroller for the race so it forces me not to go out fast :) I beat the 7:00 minute guy this evening.

| | I decided to try a mini speed workout on the treadmill this evening. I don't know why I did this but it changed things up. I did the first 3 miles at 6:50/mile pace and then dropped the pace every mile until I finished the last 2 miles at 6:00/mile. I ran at the high school and got sweat everywhere. One of the football coaches came in and thought I was crazy. You have to love the sport of running. |

| | Club run this evening at the DC. It was fun seeing Aaron there. I wanted to push the last little bit so I knew he would help me. We went out towards the fields and then looped around Stone Cliff and then back on to the trail. Aaron and I dropped the pace but didn't do anything crazy. The last 5 miles were 6:31, 6:20, 6:27, 6:05, and 5:41. Nothing spectacular but nice to finish off the run with this. I did a 1 mile cool down after wards.

| | I did the run tonight like I did on Monday. Katey met me at the track while I pushed Norah in the baby jogger for the 5k course I set out for my class reunion. It was perfect weather to be running in during the evening. I finally got some new shoes tonight. It was nice talking with Nick McCombs to see what has been going on in his life lately. It has been a long time since I've seen him.

| | Met up with a big group this morning to go and run the marathon course. It was Steve, Mike, Wildbull, Dustin, James, Aaron, Marcie, her friend Heidi, and me. We started at the top of Veyo hill and ran back down to the finish line. Aaron took off but I decided to stay back and help James with his workout today. He wanted to do 14 miles at race pace but I talked him out of it. We kept the first couple miles nice and easy and then slowly picked up the pace. James wanted to do right at 6:15/mile but I knew naturally we would go a touch faster. Our last 11 miles went as follows: 6:21, 6:15, 6:05, 6:06, 5:58, 5:58, 5:55, 5:54, 5:49, 5:56, and 5:56. I told him not to look at his watch because I wanted to see how surprised he would be after the run. James did a great job today and it was nice running with him. Not a bad week considering I had 3 decent speed workouts. I will take it. Slowly revamping so I can hit the training hard here in a week or two. I am excited.
