| | 8.5 miles with the team today. We were supposed to do repeats on the track but due to soccer we had to move them to the road. I ran with some of the boys on the first one (5:19) and then ran the next two with the girls (6:13, 6:04). We went slightly downhill and then back up along River Rd. Finished off with a fast 200 (30 seconds). Solid run for a Monday morning.
6.5 miles after practice to and from my parent's new house. Ended up going and helping my Dad with his garage. Fun little route to run from the high school over to the new house in Little Valley.

| | Big boy workout with the Circle of Trust and James. 4.4 mile warm up, 8 mile tempo, 4.4 mile cool down back to Clyde's house. My stomach was not feeling great at the start but I knew I needed to work through this. Stopped after the warm up for a VRPB and then got started on the tempo. Had to stop at 2.7 for another VRPB. Felt much better but stomach kept growling all during the tempo. Ended up with a 5:39 average. Nothing spectacular but it felt good to work through a bad patch with the stomach. Guess I will just try and lock into 5:40/mile next week and see what happens. Should be a fun trip to Phoenix.
5 miles in the afternoon with the girls on the trails behind the school.

| | 3 easy miles this morning with the team.
6 more miles this afternoon. Due to the windy conditions we moved the workout to the track. Paced some of the boys through the first mile on the 2 mile Power Run. I hit a 5:15. Plyombata after wards.

| | Ran with the Circle and Riley Cook this morning from the DC. It was nice having him run with us. Great conversation and lots of laughing. Felt antsy this morning for some reason and I knew I needed to be home at a certain time so I needed to hurry home. 5 mile warm up on the Mayor's Loop and then went back up towards River Rd. and back to Man of War Rd. I needed to push the last 2 miles a bit to get home. 5:26 and 5:17 for the last 2 miles. Felt good. 14.6 miles total. Happy to be out with the guys again. One week until Phoenix. Hope all goes well. I feel confident that I can run well down there.Should be exciting to see what everyone else does. |
