I got in a good nap this afternoon after church.  It was much needed.  I don't usually write on Sundays but I thought today might be worth it.  I haven't wanted to complain but after the Ogden Marathon muscle cramp incident my right hamstring has been really tight and it was a problem to really lengthen my stride.  I was thinking of getting a massage to see if it would help but I am too "cheap" to go and pay for one.  I finally gave in yesterday and by recommendation of all the St. George folk, I went too April here in town and was curious to see if she could help my leg out.  Wow!  She spent about half an hour on my hamstring and really dug the muscles out.  I could feel my muscles actually loosen up while she was digging into me.  She said it was the worst hamstring muscle cramp she has ever seen.  That is not what I wanted to hear.  Oh well!  She recommended going to see a chiropractor twice a year and then getting a massage at least once a month.  She said my leg could have much worse if I hadn't come in to see her.  The main reason I am writing today is to say I am a believer in the monthly massage now.  It was hard for me to swallow shelling out money each month to get a massage.  I am planning on doing it now and always going to April.  She is a runner and knows exactly what runners need taken care of.  If anyone is contemplating getting the monthly massage, go and do it.  It made me realize that the hamstring cramp could have been a lot worse at Ogden.  It was an high opener for me that I need to get the monthly massage as well as really focus on stretching more.  I didn't realize I was so tight.

I am a believer too after seeing her!

From all I've read about April, she sounds like a miracle worker. The blog "word of mouth" ought to be great for her business! Too bad she isn't a traveling massage therapist!

I think she's some kind of miracle women, black magic and stuff. I mean I went in not really able to walk and left like I could have ran home.

Glad to hear your feeling better in that area. I don't care what time we go this afternoon. It's up to Dave...So when he gets around it posting we'll find out.

I think we should get an FRB sponsored masseuse! I would love to have a monthly massage but the budget wouldn't have it... However, they are great when you are in a painful pinch. Can you get April to come along for the WBR? ;)
