8 miles in the morning.

12 miles in the evening.

Pretty uneventful 8 miles except I had to stop 2 times in order to use the bathroom.  Yikes! 6:20/mile overall and no soreness in the legs from Saturday's long run.  This is a good sign.

I went up to Weber State and did my workout with Paul today.  I did a 2 mile warm-up and then 10 x 1000m at 3:07 or 5:00/mile pace.  The wind was blowing quite a bit and it was really chilly.  I hit all of them between 3:04-3:07.  I then did a 3.75 mile cooldown afterwards around Weber State.  This was a nice workout for me.  I am tired of the cold weather.  Please bring on the spring weather.

Nice running Logan. Do you even have a recovery pace? Your year is going to be something to remember, because your fitness and running is remarkable.

From James on Tue, Mar 18, 2008 at 22:09:50

6:20 is his recovery pace!

From Paul Petersen on Wed, Mar 19, 2008 at 10:20:29

Great workout. How much recovery between intervals? Do you have any idea of kind of time to try for at the Striders Half?

From Logan on Wed, Mar 19, 2008 at 10:49:29

90 second recovery in between each interval. I would like to hit 1:07 something but I am thinking more along the lines of 1:08 something.

From Paul Petersen on Wed, Mar 19, 2008 at 11:52:45

Well for reference, I did 8x1000m with 60s rest about two weeks before the Striders Half last year. My splits were: 3:14, 3:16, 3:16, 3:15, 3:15, 3:16, 3:15, 3:11. I went on to run the Half in 1:09:27. I think you are way beyond the level I was at last year, and have a very good chance at 1:07-something.
