Everything is about the same for my morning runs lately.
I got home and did a nice 3.25 mile warmup and then hurried over to Ben Lomond's track for my speed workout. It was quite windy and a little chilly but it was clear blue skies and I knew I needed to get this workout in. I did 8x1000m with 1:15 recovery in between each one. Paul wanted me to hit about 3:07 for each one. I hit 3:07 for the first one, 3:06 for the next 4, 3:05 for the next 2 and finally 3:04 for the last one. I did a 2.75 mile cooldown and called it a day. This was a nice push considering the wind was blowing pretty good. It made me focus on my form and really fight through the wind. |
