My husband had to leave at 6:30 a.m. for a meeting so I did my tempo run on the treadmill. My legs felt very sluggish. I was aiming for a 4 mile tempo run at 7:10 but ended up doing 1 mile at 8:20 mph. 1 mile at 8 mph. 2 miles at 7:30 mph and only 2.25 miles at 7:10. My legs were feeling better and I wanted to run another 1.75 miles but ran out of time. Had to get my daughter up and ready for school. I really need to get to bed earlier at night so I can get up earlier in the morning but my girls are such night hawks it takes forever to get them to bed then I practically have to hold them down for them to go to sleep.

Good Job!! It is always so hard to get it all done. Treadmills are the worst, you do a great job getting as many miles done on the treadmill as you do.

Jody,

I actually would rather run on the treadmill than run on the road. If I am lazy I can set the speed then just move my legs plus I put in a dvd and veg out. On the road I have to force myself if I want a faster speed plus you have hills. Although I do like the treadmill for speed workouts because I can set the speed higher and this causes me to run faster. I get lazy during the school year because it is easy to justify running on the treadmill. I do try to do better during the summer especially when training for the St. George marathon.
