Welcome to the blog!! Great run today!

From linda10k on Sat, Jan 26, 2008 at 19:05:27

Thanks for the welcome. It was a great day to run. I usually run by myself. My husband and I alternate what time we run because of our children. Can't wait for the spectrum10k

Hi Linda, welcome to the blog!

I ran the big sur 1/2 this year (not quite the same course, the 1/2 is much easier). The same people put on both races, they are first rate as race directors, properly marked course, smaller field, and everything just runs so smoothly. Not to mention - it is a beautiful place to run and visit!

Glad to hear you had a good experience because we may end up running just the 1/2. Depends on if my husband and I have the time to train. Running along Highway 1 is one of the reasons I want to do it. If you want a boring marathon with no scenery..do the Tucson. Nothing to look at but dirt and weeds.

Welcome to the blog!! I'm eaves dropping a bit. Where is the Big Sir? I'm guessing highway 1 is that the california coast are? That sounds like a great place to do a half or full marathon. When do they do them?

From linda10k on Sun, Jan 27, 2008 at 00:07:22

Big Sur is in California about 150 miles south of San Francisco.

Here is the web site for the Big Sur marathon. It is on April 27th.

Ok Linda I feel like a dork, it just dawned on me this morning that of course I know you!!!! Then I just saw the picture and confirmed it. Sorry I am slow to have that click. I am glad you joined the blog, I was actually going to tell you about it when you were in the office in Dec, but didnt get a chance to. Anyways you will really like it. Is jamie going to join to?

From linda10k on Sun, Jan 27, 2008 at 15:03:59

Don't sweat it Marcie. I actually found this website because of your blog. So thanks. I was surfing the internet when I saw your "I Run Like A Girl" title and just clicked on it. This is what I needed. I was feeling a little down and needed some encouragement.

Jamie probably won't join. He's busy school, exec. council and basketball then track is starting up at the end of February.

Linda,

I have to ask - are you a Kryling(sp?). It is coming together very slowly for me. I am Bill Jacobsen's daughter. If so I have heard fantastic things about you and your husband.

From linda10k on Sun, Jan 27, 2008 at 20:54:51

Jodie,

Yes, I am a Kreyling. My husband works at Snow Canyon High School and enjoyed working with your father. Thanks for the comment.

From Jody on Sun, Jan 27, 2008 at 20:59:20

Linda, I am working so hard on getting my dad back out running and joining the blog, but he is stubborn. Nudge him a little if you run into him.

From linda10k on Sun, Jan 27, 2008 at 21:20:19

Jodie,

Jamie just said he was going to stop by your dads house tomorrow to look at his computer. I told him to nudge him. Are you coming down to run the spectrum 10K?

From Jody on Sun, Jan 27, 2008 at 21:38:00

Yes, I am coming down for the spectrum 10k. I am pretty excited because it is one of my favorite races.

From linda10k on Sun, Jan 27, 2008 at 21:58:57

One of my favorite races also! Beautiful scenery and fast course.
