Yeah, I know unbelieveable but I made it through.  I ran with a good friend of mine and we had a great time.  I'm pretty sure I could have picked up the pace quite a bit but I just wanted the distance.  Time was not the concern so I stayed back and ran with a buddy and that was definitely more entertaining, I probably wouldn't have finished if I didn't have the company.

My legs are bit tired and achy but not really bad at all.  So I hoping this is saying that I can pick up the pace and run the whole marathon in the time I did these today.  We had a lot of hills.  We ran almost the whole length of every avenue. City creek to 11 to B to 10 to M to 9 to B to M to 7 to B to 6 to virginia then to 5 down and back on 4, then three , two, one and back up to s. temple and then up Virginia all the way back to 11 avenue. YUCK!! And back around city creek.  Very lovely weather, wonderful views, company, I had a great day.

Man, you can really turn it on when you want to. You are one tough cookie lady! You sound so upbeat after your run. I want to harm and injure (or at least neglect) others. I'm pooped. You're the kind built for Ultras. What an inspiration. Thanks for helping me keep my chin up! Great run.

You are a TIGER!! Holly STinking Cow!! (sorry to steal your line, but it is my favorite!) That is pretty darn amazing to pull that out of your hat after going back to work and not having the miles..... Looks like YOUR BAACCKKK!!!! You will be great in Portland!!! We need to try and get in another trail run this fall with Maurine before it is too late!!! Keep it up girl!

Leslie, thank you, thank you!! You are the best. You have really helped me a lot and I appreciate your wonderful comments that remind that you guys are still watching for me and I can't be a slacker :)

My students asked why I ran and I told them it makes me feel good about myself....I need to keep it up.

Maurine gets back from Itay on Sept. 21, I will talk to her about doing a run and get back to you, it would be fun to get together. Maybe a friday early evening or a Sat. morning. Pipeline would be fun, or maybe try something new and exciting like the mid mountain trail in Park city and then lunch! We need to have a nice fun fall run together before the snow!
