I ran my three miles in 33 minutes today and then I walked .50 on a high incline for a few minutes. I can't help but kick myself when I think how much farther I would  be if I would have kept with it the last few months.

I felt good other than my fingers feeling numb and my throat burning.  I was right next to the double doors in the cinema room and I could feel the wind blowing in.   O and the bottom of my feet were on fire when I got off. They felt really tender. (Not sure if that is normal) I am beginning to think maybe I do need new shoes I have not even had these one for a year yet.

I worked my abs just a little bit because they hurt from yesterday. I am not sure if  the abs are something that can be worked everyday. I have heard both ways. My abs need worked on more than any other part of me.

I did two arm and back machines. I have this dying erge to hold on to the treadmill when I am running and I think if I strengthen my upper body more maybe it will get easier.

I had 30 minutes left so I got on the bike and rode 5.05 miles.

I have a friend who is a personal trainer and her theory is abs every day! I wish that I would listen to her and do it, or at least weekly... they need it more than any other part of my body! I also have a friend who is a physical therapist that says you can always improve running by strenghtening your abs, so I guess I just talked myself into more regular ab work, hope I can stay comitted to it!

I was doing abs everyday before I stopped for a couple of months. I did not think I saw a diffrence until now. I was doing 5oo crunches on the ab roller everyday and then this twisty weight machine and like 30 legs lifts on an ab bench. All that and I still could not do a full sit up. I have not been able to do a sit up since I had my first baby. It was a c-section gone really bad and I was opened back up and had to heal from the inside out. It took like three months to heal shut. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but it really sucks. No matter how hard I concentrate and tell myself to sit up I can't do. Maybe your friends would know something about that.

Thanks for clearing that up up for me tho.

I've tried working on abs before, and got them to improve significantly. Absolutely no detectable change in running.
