Baby finally went down for a nap.  I got on my treadmill and ran the first mile in just under 10 minutes. Then I pretty much walked the rest.  I was up half the night with Tallon and I just feel drained.  I was on the treadmill for 50 minutes. Amazed that tallon was still asleep I got on the bike and rode it for 30 minutes.

I also walked .50 miles with my 4year olds earlier today.

I have the sickest little baby and he is driving me crazy. he had a fever of 104.6 yeserday so I drove him to the instacare naked with the windows down. He had an ear infection, he is so miserable. So about noon I was getting so frusterated with just hoding him and him crying.  He would not sleep. he just wants to be on my lap but continues to cry.

So we got the stroller out and I told my other three 4 year olds we were going for a walk.  I told them this was a treasure hunt walk, so I wold not end up sitting in the park.  And it is a bit cold out so I wanted to keep them moving and warm.

I wanted to share the insight I got for them.

Kyle found a big stick on the second street we started down. He said it was his walking stick and his treasure.  We found an empty bee hive and Belle carried that for awhile and then said she wanted to put it down so the bee's did not miss there home. Abby kept picking up broken peices of plastic and asking if it was a treasure. i kept telling them there treasure was what ever they thought was special or something they could make specialbut washing it or painting it.   Abby kept giving her briken pecies of plastic to belle and she would walk with it for awhile and then drop it nd say I don't think that is a treasure.

On the third street they saw a dog panting at the edge of the yard in a fence and said the dog was a treasure but they could not take it home with us, but wanted to touch it.  Then Belle saw the pine cones. She was so excited to see these. She started picking them up and I said only one and she said but they are all diffrent. So we walked on with about 10 diffrent pinecone's. We were getting closer to the 4th street and the 5th is ours so I asked Abby if she wanted a pine cone and she said no I am waiting for something really special.

Then we came aross some lava rock and I showed them how light it was compared to other rocks and they all took a peice of that. Belle had picked up about three rocks at this point.  And Kyle dropped his walking stick and said he wanted that lava rock.

So as we rounded the corner to the 4th street. You would have thought the kids hit the jack pot. There was driveway's full of big gravel.  Some of the rocks had been spray painted because of construction.   Lets just say my stroller had about 30 rocks in it when we got home.  One of the girls said the pirates must have lost there treasure on this road becuase it was so full of them. Belle picked up two rocks that looked the same in every way and said she found some twin rocks, just like her and her sister.

They were all suprised when we walked into our driveway. They had all become so ingrossed in the task at hand they did not even reconize there own street.

So my thoughts were. If we could look at everything the way these young minds look at things. This world so full of treasures just lying around in plain sight. Just think how rich we would all feel.   How greatful we would all be for everything we have. No more lables just treasures waiting to be found and discovered every day.  A rock is just a rock unless you look at it diffrently.

I just thought how many things that this could apply to in  my life.
