Seth and I graduated from BYU April 2007. Our beautiful son Simeon was born that May. I started running again in June with the encouragement of Seth and Lybi. Seth, Lybi, Laura, and their mom are the ones who really keep me running :P

My mom has an exercise bike and this morning I used it for 10 minutes. Seth left today for Colorado Springs. He is picking up some furniture from his sister. He will be back tomorrow. So I couldn't exercise with him today. My mom and I went to town (which is an hour away) to go to WalMart and to visit my sister. On the way home I was really tired and wanted to fall asleep in the car, but my mom and I were talking so I didn't. I didn't get a nap again today and I was pretty tired and didn't really want to exercise, especially since I would have to exercise by myself. But then I thought of all the fire and brimstone chastisement you all would give me if I missed another day.

So we got home around 7:00. I fed the baby and ate dinner and was hoping to start running right after dinner. The baby was crying because he was tired and giving him to my mom only made him cry harder. So I took him to put him to sleep. It took a LONG time to get him to sleep so that by the time he was asleep and I was ready to start my run it was getting pretty dark. I took my parents dog out with me to run but as it got darker I felt pretty uncomfortable (don't want to get eaten by a bear just yet). So I ended up power walking for 5 minutes, running for 5 minutes, and then did 15 more minutes on my mom's bike. I didn't get quite the workout I wanted but at least I got some running in and at least I didn't have to end my workout with just a short run. I'm glad I was able to use her bike.

My total bike miles for today were 6.1 miles. When Seth gets back he is going to measure the distance that I ran (even though it wasn't much).

What? Is my adorable nephew giving you problems? For every adorable, tiny baby in this world, there is an exhausted woman nearby...

Good job getting out. You did 35 min. of aerobic exercise today, and that's a lot. Much more than just running a mile or two, in my opinion. Someone should figure out how many biking miles it takes to equal a running mile.

Good job Princess. Sounds like all sorts of things jumped up to try to keep you from excercising but you beat them all and still got out. I agree with Lybi. I wonder how many biking miles equals a runnning mile.

I bet when we get back to NM, we are going to owning that ditch bank.

I showed Mike the Starcraft videos and he appreciated them :)

I love you. See you soon. I hope you had a restful night. I missed you.

Yes, I was thinking to myself, If only I could run as fast as I can bike :) It would be interesting to know the comparison.

I would go by time and effort. E.g if you put in the same effort it would take you to run a mile in 12:00 for 12 minutes, that is equivalent to a mile of running.

Keep with it, no guts, no glory. Way to go.
