I felt the same slight pain in my knee about a mile and a half in to my run.  I ran with the pain for another half to see what it would so.  It didn't go away.  I can run with the pain but it doesn't feel right.  I want to run but my knee doesn't want to let me.  What do I do?  I have an appointment to see Dr. Toronto next week and hopefully he can make some sence out of it.

Hey Chris. Just take it easy, don't push too hard and make the injury worse. When I injured my IT band about two years ago I pushed it when I should have rested, and was out for nearly two months. Just remember the basics:

Rest

Ice

Compression

Elevation

Recover well, and hopefully we'll get out on the roads together soon.

By the way, the finishing times for the Helen Klein Classic in Ultrarunner Magazine. Congrats on the excellent finish, and tell Laurie way to go on her DFL. You two are awesome :)

Bummer! May be time for an MRI?

See ArmyRunner's blog for what he has been going through with his knee. Don't know your specifics, but some rest and slower recovery runs could be due, followed by more Doc work if it doesn't heal up.
