I started running in the fall of 2007. I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.
Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014. My favorite PRs: 2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22. 2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Long-Term Running Goals:
Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.
Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!
On running and on life.....
On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Going to St. George? Bag the hotel and stay in one of our condos instead!
Lovely morning! The Iwanna ladies did a great job with a 25 minute run. Then later a nice run on Tom's warm up and a bit with my almost married son and Rui. The only downer for today was having to make eye contact with the squater off the side of the road. We wouldn't even have noticed him if he were a bit quieter. He pulled our attention his way. Poor kid!
Kind of rainy throughout the whole run but never a down pour while I was out. PF bothering me on the right foot more than I would like it to. Seems worse going up hill and when I go faster than normal. Hmmmm....I SO wanted to do this grand slam thing without fear of injury.....
I intentionally took Wednesday and Thursday off and kept today short and simple because I promised myself I will listen to my body and make it through the grand slam this year without preventable injuries. Hopefully the unpreventable injuries will stay away too. But I am trying to play this thing smart and keep my promise to myself.
Today's plan was 20. Things went well until about mile 16. I think the first 15 were a little faster than I should have been doing for a long run and we also had some more hills which I came down faster on. That always seems to get my knees a bit. So I decided the form was going downhill and it was only going to cause harm rather than help me so I called Tom to come and pick me up a bit early. Just caught him before he was heading up north to a 10 K. Kind of strange the race up there is starting at 11:00. Seems like a rather late start for this time of year. I'm glad I am not running it.
I am looking forward to attending my future d-in-law's bridal shower and then a nice trip to the temple with Tom later.
