Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Every single second, every breath, every step is a gift that we must appreciate fully!  How many times do we forget the many, many blessings we have in our lives?  Each of us have struggles we have faced, are facing and will face in the future.  It's a part of life here on earth...as a mortal...This past weekend has been very spiritual with many reminders of the blessings I have been given throughout my life.  We had a wonderful stake conference with Elder Kicuchi and Elder Wheeler.  I think our whole stake will be better for the opportunity of having them in our midst for the weekend.

This morning on my run my thoughts were with our cute friend Cambrey and her dad Terry and mom Taunia along with the rest of their family.  I also noticed that Burt has his cute daughter in the hospital too.  I also thought of our neighbor who is waiting for a liver transplant and a friend who is in the beginning stages of finding out she needs a lung transplant (never smoked a day in her life).  Then there is my friend who burned her hand very badly a few weeks ago.  And just the flu that has got people down so much lately.  And Bonnie's black eye... and oh so many more things.

Moral of my story...we need to make the most of each and every day....each and every talent...each and every opportunity to help someone or share a smile.  I hope I can remember the things I have felt and learned this past weekend to help me be a better person.

I wasn't sleeping well last night and saw the snow so I turned off my alarm in case I happened to be sleeping when it was suppose to go off.  I knew I had other times today that I could get my run in so I wasn't too concerned.

I WAS actually sleeping and the sun was shining later so it all turned out to be a good choice.  I was planning on going out for an easy 6 so I was going to say "One fun sun run done" for my report.  But since it was later in the day and the sun was shining I decided to get tomorrow's speedwork done......therefore, the 'one fun sun run done' is not exactly true anymore.  Speedwork is only fun when it's done.  So I can say "One DONE run, (which happened to have some sun)"    BTW:  much too overdressed for speed in the sun!
