Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Tom had kind of a bad weekend and was feeling quite down by yesterday.  So I decided to pick him up from work and kidnap, (man-nap?),  him for the night.  Our kids were great to take on some extra responsibility so we could take away from our responsibility for a night.  This morning we had a very nice relaxed 6 mile run near his work in Provo that he runs often at lunch time.  Sometimes it's nice to just get away from it all for a few hours.  Thanks kids for helping us out!

I was going to say, he actually had a really fun time with the guys on the WRB. It was the other things Sunday and Monday that were bringing him down.

Kim thanks so much for the "man-napping" and helping to lift me out the little funk I was in.

Feeling GOOD today and really enjoyed our run this morning!

BTW Kim I noticed today is an historic day for us on the blog. I think today is the first day your monthly visitor count (no not THAT monthly visitor, I mean the little quantcast counter toward the top of the page) has exceeded mine.

You're at 212 vs. my 210. Your fame and popularity is spreading far and wide!

Perhaps my standing on the mileage board will soon be in jeopardy?! I notice this week in particular you've been ahead or right on my tail most of the time!

Kim, Youve got to change your picture! Your starting to hurt my feelings! I cant look at that golden ticket anymore! I may have to plot a Golden ticket heist! jk lol Now the pressure is on for you to run your personal best to redeem the whole luck of the draw deal! Keep on running wont you!?

Walter,

I'm sorry to be so excited about my golden ticket when there are others here who want one too! One thing I can assure you...I WILL definitely be doing my personal best since it will be my very first ever marathon! It's still kind of hard to believe that it really was me who won that drawing! But I have to tell you, I felt it in my bones...and when I feel it like that, it happens.

Tom,

I don't think your standings on the mileage board will be threatened by me...YET...unless those injuries keep you down for a bit, but I hope that doesn't happen.
