I started running in the fall of 2007. I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.
Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014. My favorite PRs: 2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22. 2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15
Short-Term Running Goals:
Long-Term Running Goals:
Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.
Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!
On running and on life.....
On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Personal:
Going to St. George? Bag the hotel and stay in one of our condos instead!
This is the first week in my life that I have ever ran 5 days in a row. I always thought you need to have a day of rest between. It feels great! I think it is good for me to run alone, (or with Tom or Rui), one day and then with Beth the next. I have to slow down a bit for Beth and it makes five-six days/week work out good. 21 miles this week, no specific aches or pains! Need to go get some new shoes soon.
Congrats!!! This might be your best running week ever! You didn't mention specifically, but I guess did you go with Beth today?
We do need to get you some new shoes, maybe we'll have a chance tomorrow on the way back from Thanksgiving point?

No, you do not need any more rest than Sunday off if your six training days are done at appropriate mileage and appropriate intensity. I discovered that "Six days shalt thou labor, and on the seventh shalt thou rest" works very well in running.
Congrats on the new running accomplishment! I agree that mixing it up is nice. I would get the new shoes sooner rather than later if you're even thinking you need new ones. With all the injury stories I've heard on this blog from running in old shoes, it's just not worth it!
Nice to know there are some faces I know on this blog. Good luke to you guys it will be fun to here from you.
