Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Quick race report before leaving St. George for California.

After doing the 1/2 last Saturday and being sick this week I was able to do my best 5K ever. This was the first 5K I have done since starting up seriously last fall.

Mile 1 8:03

Mile 2 8:32

Mile 3 8:49 (oooohhhhh uphill ninety!  Not enjoyable at all!)

Pushed the end to overtake the gal in front of me by a nose at the finish line!

Kim let me be the first (if I can type fast enough) to give you a HUGE CONGRATS!!! This was a super effort to pull off the huge PR on a very tough hilly course after being sick all week!!!

You rock!!! I think you'll be bringing home a whole lot of hardware this year with all the AD placings!

From Jody on Sat, Apr 12, 2008 at 12:24:41

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You did an awesome job on a tough course especially after being sick! You Rock!

Excellent Job Kim! Great race for you and all that has been going on! Dustin went to the race but I had to take my son to Basketball practice. I was thinking about actually doing the 5K until I started having problems with my knee. Anyway, Way to go! Have fun in California!

Goodness--I thought you were sick! I had pictured you hanging out in pajamas all day and drinking juice--not running a great 5K with a gutsy finish! Great job!

From Christi on Sat, Apr 12, 2008 at 14:38:01

Kim, how big was the nose on the other gal? 100 commando points for the PR and 100 for the second in age division. Awesome improvement for the WOW.

Hey girl, Nice job! I'm sorry I missed you this morning, it would have been so cool to meet you. I was a couple minutes behind you, I wish I had known, would have inspired me to kick a little harder ;.)

Have a great time in CA and maybe we'll run into each other at the next race!

Your time was impressive in it's own right, but the way you overcame adversity is awe-inspiring. You've got some great potential.
