Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

It was nice today to wake up feeling better about the world than I have the past few Monday's.  Coach Tom had a 5 1/2 mile tempo run planned for me this morning.  We warmed up for 2 miles and then did the 5 1/2 with some cool down miles to take us back home.  I think it went quite well.  The first mile is always the hardest to find the right speed.  We had a window from 8:15 -8:45 to shoot for.

1.  8:42

2.  8:14

3.  8:04

4   8:07

5.  8:02

1/2.  3:55  (7:52 pace)

Over all average pace  (8:12)

Time for 5 1/2 miles was 45:06

Lots of nasty smells in the air this morning!  Yuck!  I don't even like good smells when I'm running and these were definitely not anywhere near "good"smells!  Here's to good smells the rest of the day!  Happy smells to all of you!

Great tempo run today Kim! You are so ready for St. George. Coach Tom will have you to a sub 4 with no problem at all. We ended our run today right in front of the smelly garbage house so I know what you mean about the foul smells. Not good when you are running, luckily we were done.

Great job today! The fact that you could crank out such a great tempo run on a Monday makes it that much more impressive!
