Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

It was nice to gently wake up and not have to worry about an alarm clock.  Tom and I decided we would just sleep until we wanted to get up.  We ended up getting out the door about 7:15. I'm working up the long runs again so I can be ready for Striders in a few weeks.  For Painters I only worked up to an 11 miler before.  This time I would like to get a 14 miler in before the half.  My knees are my problem.  I think I baby one and then the other one gets jealous or something.  The last mile and a half was more of a walk/run for precautionary reasons with my left knee.  Hopefully I can keep both of my knees happy and still be able to run a good half.

What a week you've had! Sounds like some great runs in CA, probably a good outlet for you too considering the trip was not fun & games. When I was in Disney last week the flowers were blooming and smelled SO wonderful, your posts reminded me. I miss those scents now that I'm back in UT! Enjoyed all the pics. Sounds like you are in GREAT shape for Striders- great mileage!

You've outdone me on miles the last few weeks. Don't get injured it is no fun. I'm glad you were smart enough to slow down the last couple of miles. Good luck on the striders half. I should go do it so Tom can have the satisfaction of beating me.

Terry you should do Striders but not so I can beat you, but just so you have a goal race not too far out to keep you motivated and to socialize. It would be no fun to beat you when you're gimpy.

great job on your miles this week! I bet Cali was so nice. keep it up!

From Brent on Sat, Mar 15, 2008 at 21:36:02

Terry, come on - do striders half, get one of the FRB singlets, time does not matter, having a good time does. We will count on you being there.

Kim, be careful with those knees, I caused my own problem doing leg presses too much. Kim, you are in such a Zen type mode, happy place to be.

Stay Kool, see you at striders. B of BS Rools out

Thanks for the welcome! It looks like you are having a great time with your runs. I'm excited to see how you do at Striders. My daughter hasn't created a blog yet, I'll have to show her there are other high school runners on here. Thanks Again!
