Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

I am taking another day off.  In fact, I had to take the day off of work also.  I work so closely with the public that I didn't feel right about going in and coughing and sounding terrible all day.  I think I learned a little lesson this week.  After a strong race I need to make sure to do a reverse taper, even if my legs are feeling good.  I think I knocked my immune system out a bit with the half marathon last week. And then starting off the week too strong.   I have been lucky all winter long to stay healthy, but the last few days have been kind of miserable!

Kim sorry I feel a bit responsible for pushing you a bit early in the week and not thinking about how hard you ran the race last week. We'll have to remember this lesson next time.

Hope you enjoy the day off and can get fully recovered ASAP!

Shoot! Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I actually got really sick after my 1st 1/2 Marathon (I know this wasn't your first 1/2) But I know races can wreck havoc on our bodies. Hope you get feeling better fast so you can have some fun down here in St. George! When do you get in & where are you staying?

From Kim on Thu, Apr 10, 2008 at 18:34:13

Thanks for the kudos in taking it easy for a few days!

We are heading to St. George tomorrow afternoon. We are staying right there at the starting line. Got a race discount for the Coral Hills. We will just be there over night as we are heading to California on Saturday. I'm glad this race coincided with our stay so we can meet even more wonderful blogging runners!

Hope you get feeling better! Have a great time in St. George and at the race!

That is great that you can come to St. George for a night and catch the race. I hope the weather co-operates. Temp. has been good, but windy. Are you going to CA for vacation, work, or to help w/ family?

Christi, California is all for fun this time!

Cool! Disney, beach or what? Even though I just got back from a Disney/ Beach trip last month, I'm ready to go again!
