Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Emotionally drained today.   Sometimes I just can't handle stress very well.  When I can't handle it I  can tell my whole family suffers, especially Tom.  So therefore, he is also emotionally drained today too.  Sorry Tom.  He is out doing some tempo work, I went out for an easy 5 or 6.  I thought I was meeting up with Kellie but when I ran into John A, (one of the three times we ran into each other today), he mentioned that they were on vacation.  I had forgotten that she would be gone this week.  (By the way, speaking of John A, you should check out his Spudman Race Report for last Saturday!  He did awesome! Congrats John!)

When I was about a block away from home I was going to have to turn and add a bit to make it 6 miles when I saw a garbage can tipped over that belongs to an older couple friend of mine so I decided to stop and do a good deed by picking it up for them.  As I picked it up a piece of broken PVC pipe hit into my ankle.  Dang!  It doesn't look bad, I thought I would look and see a gash, but it's just a little scrape on the outside.  But it sure hurts on the inside and I hobbled the rest of the way home and decided that getting to 6 miles wasn't going to happen today.

I hate starting Monday out on "empty"!   I guess I need to get out and think of others more today to help fill my bucket.

Sorry you are having a rough day, but you have the right attitude. Serving others always makes us feel better. Take it easy and take care of your self.

Sorry about the ankle scrape, quite the fine reward for doing a good deed! But at least your attitude and heart is in the right place. Even though the week is starting out a little rough I'm sure things will be getting better and better as we go! Love you!

Way to hang in there, Kim. I know what you mean about stress, etc. It can be a challenge to stay on your routine, but you did great today, and it will pay off this week!

I am sorry you got attacked by the killer trash! Dang it! That was sure nice of you :D

Hang in there- bad weeks always go away! They rarely breed ;D

My day would be rotten too if an ungrateful load of trash retaliated on my good deed. Rotten trash!!! :) Hopefully your ankle will be fine for running tomorrow. ; )

Thanks everyone. My ankle is feeling fine and I am going to bed happier than when I woke up. So I think that is a good day.
