Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Coach Tom left me to do my own and make my own decisions this morning.  I was planning on going 4 to 5 easy miles since I ran 14 on Saturday.  However, I accidentally ran 12.  Average pace 9:50.  If I didn't have 'mommy duties' I might still be out there running and growing a full beard with people joining in yelling "run Forest run!"  But alas....I must face Monday.

Wow! What a great way to start the week! You might look cute with a beard!!

I've accidentally run an extra mile or two but never an extra 8. Great job.

Hahahaha. That's awesome. Did you ever think you'd even utter those words? "I accidentally ran 12 miles instead of 4"?

From Kim on Mon, Jun 23, 2008 at 14:24:41

My coach isn't commenting on my accidental 12 miles. I hope he hasn't given up on me and will forgive me for making such a big mistake. I'll try really hard not to accidentally run 8 extra miles on an easy day ever again.

I am in AWE!

I bet you are busted! I am toast for just going 3.5 over for the week. I bet he forgives you ;)

All is forgiven. Sorry I left you high and dry today. Hey some days if your body just says it want to go and doesn't give any signals whatsover of impending injury then go for it.

I would however highly recommend only running 2 or 3 very easy miles (over 10 min pace!) tomorrow with Coach Tom there to supervise.

Also I'm thinking you can count this as the long run for the week and cut back to 10 or less on Saturday.

Thanks Coach! :*

You know you're a true runner when you "accidentally" run 12 miles!

From Brent on Mon, Jun 23, 2008 at 22:04:11

Kim, don't wreck the shrimp boat, your running is going great. Is captain Bob your new coach? Running to run, wind thru the hair, mind on beautiful things, what a glory of a day.
