Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

"Running it's all about a good time!" Pretty clever, huh? You can read that two ways...I just noticed that is Tom's new blog name. Well, we had a good time this morning! THREE O'CLOCK THIS MORNING! He was a good sport and joined me for a very early run so we could go out to the river bottoms and enjoy the light show from the Perseid meteor shower! How cool is that?! It was quite enjoyable! It was dark, not another soul around anywhere. There were orchestra's of crickets, a fun light show and a cute guy standing there with me! There were times that we saw several shooting stars and some times with lulls, but all in all it was a good time! When we got home we snuggled back into bed and got a few more hours of sleep.  Good times indeed!  :)

Wow, 3:00AM!!!! That is hard for me to even imagine because when we met last week at 5:00AM, it was so dark when we started running that I kept saying to JaNae "what are we doing out here running, it is the middle of the night?" I can not even imagine getting up that earlier, let a lone getting my body to cooperate with me at that time of the day. Commends to you!! I am going to go ahead and let you keep doing that just as much as you want to :). Thanks for the comment. It is a little harder to run at night. Your body feels heavier, you are more tired and if you are like me, I always have a hundred things on my mind so it is hard to really get into it. But, sometimes, it is the only option so I have to roll with it. Yeah, last night I was talking to Tyler and I suggested changing his blog name. I told him people are going to start getting mad at him, because he no longer can be classified as a Rookie Runner if you ask me. We will have to see if my subtle hint goes over well or not :). Hope that you have a good day today. Go get some more sleep already~

I will no longer be a Rookie Runner after St George!!! Well at least that is what I am calling my ROOKIE season.
