Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Tom and I went to SLC yesterday and didn't come home till today! We had tickets to the Jazz game so we decided to make an overnighter out of it. The kids were great to cooperate! Seventeen year olds can be so helpful!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Murray which is right next to the Jordan River Trail. So we slept in a bit and then headed out. The sun was having a hard time getting over the top of Mt. Olympus for awhile, but once it appeared we were able to enjoy sunshine on our shoulders the whole way! What a feeling! Even though the sun felt great, the run seemed a little difficult. I felt quite sluggish. Tom doubled up and back every so often so he could get 10 miles to my 8.

It was fun to see many different kinds of birds along the trail. We noticed 2 hawks, a cute family of quail, ducks and geese galore and many unknown varieties. It was fun to see their footprints in the snow and hear the different sounds of each of them. The geese make it sound like there is a traffic jam with all of their honking. Some bird sounded like he was laughing at us, (like the laugh of the Penquin in Batman). We just laughed back at him...laughing is heart healthy, we all need to do much more of it in our lives!

A great run and a great little get away! And 8 miles when I was really just planning on 5 for today.

Kim I sure enjoyed out little weekend getaway! Thanks! And thanks for humoring me today and letting me get in 10 and gutting out the extra miles and getting the 8! Way to "open up your heart and let the sunshine in"!

Kim, you and Tom were running on our home turf. It is a great trail to run. We have seen bald eagles, deer, fox, beavers, etc. along the trail. The best thing, no darn traffic. We live about 4 miles south of the Hampton Inn, 30 running seconds off the trail.

Stay cool, b of bs rools out
