Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Tom and I met the SF group at 5:00 this morning. He was planning on 20 and I was going 15. We started out together but the speedy group quickly got going and headed off in a different direction. So I ran with Tara and Jill and a bunch of guys. We went the Leland route. Along the row of trees one of the guys in our group noticed someone sleeping in the field. It was kind of creepy to have a "hobo" sleeping down in our running area. Later we saw him all packed up and on his way again.

I ran this faster than I had planned, but it is either run faster with a group or fall behind and run alone for 15 miles. I chose to keep with the group and it actually felt good. I had to add on 4 at the end by myself and noticed that, except for the hill, I was still keeping the same pace I had with the group.  Average pace 8:51

Tom has been having some fun with the course tool here on the blog. So we have put together a little "pace bracelet" for the marathon. I have the mile paces for finishing in 4:00, 3:55, 3:49, 3:45.

Kim you are such a speedy girl! Do you realize that 8:51 average over 15 miles is faster pace than you ran either Painter's or Strider's 1/2 marathons? I really have no clue what your SGM pace will be come October.

Now eat up, rest up, and take care of yourself today and tomorrow so we'll be ready for a great canyon run on Monday!

Kim! You are tearing it up! I am so excited for you! What an amazing pace for 15 miles! I think you are going to pleasantly surprise yourself come Hobblecreek...

You rock! I don't think I have ever run that pace for a long run in my life! And you're doing it after only several months of running. You are going to tear it up in the years to come!

Sweet run today Kim! Nice distance & pace. That is creepy running by homeless people, although I'm sure this guy was way more intimidated by you all than you were of him. Just glad you weren't running alone. I'm gonna have to check out the pace tool on the blog.

Well done Kim, you're making big improvements, keep it up.

Another great run! I think we should try to get together for a training run along the way!

From Kim on Sat, Jul 19, 2008 at 20:47:38

I would love to Jody! Let's see what we can work out! Also, I can't remember if you are doing Hobble Creek.

Thanks everyone! Your encouragement really helps me along!
