I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

The fitness center at Tom's work is doing their annual fitness tests this week.  The owner of the gym had told Tom I could go in and have some of the things done.  So I went in today for a couple of the tests.  The nice owner let me join Tom on the treadmill since it was before the busy time of the day.  So I got 6 miles in.  I ranged in pace from 10:30 to 8:35.  I actually held 8:35 for about 3/4 of a mile and then again later for about a quarter of a mile.  It was hard and not fun, but I did it.  I don't know if I could do that on the road or not.  Sometimes it seems easier on the treadmill.

It's good I don't log sleep time.  Last night wasn't the best night of zzzzzs.  I may have to take a little nap after I get out of the shower.  And I soooo need to go grocery shopping!  That is one of those things that I wish would miraculously get done for me each week!

Happy almost end of January everyone!!!

Hey Kim I hear you on logging sleep time. There is a reason I haven't added that feature to my blog either since I don't think I really want to know how how little sleep we seem to get sometimes.

Congrats on your impressive numbers for the fitness eval. Sorry I bragged you up on my blog a bit. Hope you're not to bugged at me (you never get bugged at me right?)

Kim, nice work today! Sounds like you earned GOLD today at the gym with your awesome test results! Running is paying some nice dividends to the body...good for you!!! Hope you got that nap in, it makes everything seem so much better with a little extra sleep! I'm with Tom I should take the sleep thing off my blog as I don't even log it any more because I'm afraid if I realized how little I got I would feel really tired!! I did steal a nap this morning and I feel almost super human!!

Good job on the pace today! It seems like you just keep stepping it up and I just keep...stepping down?! I'll have to check out Tom's blog to see your evaluation :)
