Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Such a bummer! I am missing another day! I don't think I have missed 3 days in a row since joining the blog in October. I know that next time I push really hard on a race like last Saturday, I will definitely take it easier the next week, (or two), and not just jump right back to regular miles and intensity. I hope I remember that! It really took me down this week.

Hope you get feeling better soon! It sure seems like there's been a lot of sickness going around lately (just when we were starting to think that it was all behind us). If you've got congestion in your lungs it's better to just take it easy until they clear. We'll all start feeling better when the sun comes out!

Well, at least it sounds like the St. George weather will do you good- high tomorrow in the high 70's. Race temps will be about 45. I hope you feel good enough to race or at least come visit with us before & after! Get better!

Kim its alright taking some time off to get better, your fitness will be fine:-) We as runners are so hard on ourselves and sometimes we just need to give our bodies a break, so enjoy it and get better!!!

From Sunny on Fri, Apr 11, 2008 at 12:38:35

I think that it is getting better at least it is not as painful as it used to be. It is just driving me crazy not being able to run as much I was just getting on a role and ready to up my miles some. But I do need to be patient and let them do their thing. And by the way great race! You did great! I hope that you can recover fast. I know how you feel when you want to do something and your body is saying NO! It's hard! Hang in their you'll be back soon I'm sure.

Oh man! :( Well, if you have to be sick, I hope you at least get the chance to watch "Pride and Predjudice" several times. Feel better soon! And for the record, I think you totally earned some down time with that great race.

Get feeling better ! Good luck tomorrow at the Run 4 kids and enjoy your vacation.

What a bummer that you are not feeling good! I'm guessing you aren't running the race? Just Tom? Crazy people running a half one weekend and another race the next ! Unfortunately I have a meeting in the morning and won't see you there. Enjoy CA.

From Kim on Sat, Apr 12, 2008 at 00:06:38

I'm actually going to try it out. I may not be very competitive on this one. We'll see how I feel come morning.

Enjoy your meeting. Is that an oxymoron?
