Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Last week when we had a few days of sunshine and warm temps I decided to freak out and get the blues and couldn't get myself out the door for a run.  Today the temp was 26 with winds that felt like 14, (Yahoo weather), and I got dressed and out the door with no problem at all.  What's up with that?  The biting wind and snow drifts pushing past Beth and I didn't win today!  Beth and I had a fun time planning our NordLee 1/2 marathon.  She was planning on doing Painter's with me but it isn't going to work out for her.  So we are planning our own 1/2 for a month or two down the road.

I'm starting to get excited about Painter's!  I think my goals for the race will be...

2:10=Bronze

2:05=Silver

2:00=Gold

I'm not quite sure if that is too high of a goal or not for where I am at, but I think it might be realistic.

Kim I think these are great goals. Even with the Bronze you're looking at a PR and don't assume the Gold is out of the question. With your training, doing some taper next week, warmer temps (hopefully) and some of the weirdness that happens when it's a race that must makes it easier to run faster, you just might be surprised what happens. At any rate it will be fun to see what happens! Looking forward to joining you the last few miles with camera in hand!

I'm sure you'll have a great time, and a "Great Time" at Painters! Go fo the Gold!

It's kind of exciting hearing about everyone's anticipation. Makes me really wish I could go down there.

Great preparation for Painters, you will do great and have a fun time.

Go get that gold!

Kim, Painters Half - - may the wind always be at your back with you running down hill ... Tom has likely hit on the magic formula. You have been one of the WOWs (warriors of winter) winning the battles against the wind, cold and snow. The using of commando points is always not known, but, I would bet on commando points used that "golden" day. No fear, the 1/2 time is near.

Kim, it looks like it might be just you and me at Painters. I have been debating putting down some goals and what you put is exactly what I would have but I have been a little nervous to do so just in case I don't reach any. (Winpy) But hopefully together we can both come home as winners!
