Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

I was physically and emotionally drained this morning, so I didn't get out and run then. Tom was great and stayed in with me. Our sweet little girl who just got over a nasty ear infection now has the stomach flu. So I was up with her and home all day with her. When the other kids got home I decided to head out and get a few miles in. I wasn't quite sure how many that would be. I planned to do my 6 forty five second striders after a few miles of warm up. With the nice sunshine out there it didn't take long to warm up! I'm not use to that warm of a run. I'm not sure what the temp was. I know I need to keep hydrated better now! In the cooler weather I ran up to 14 miles at a time without water. I did my striders. I was suppose to do them at about a 7:30 pace. I had a hard time finding that pace. I usually ended up going a bit too fast. I got to my house at 5 3/4 miles and really wanted to stop and come in and get a drink. But I know that the block right by my house is exactly 1/4 of a mile, so I ran around it so I could end up with 6 for the day. I am very satisfied to have been able to get this run in today when I wasn't sure if even 2 was going to work out! Again, having the bloggers to report to and a very supportive family I was able to do it! Thanks everyone!

Just for my information, I just checked the temperature.  It looks like it is 63 degrees.

Great job on the workout Kimi! I always have a tough time running at this time of day so I think this run is worth bonus points. Don't worry too much what the garmin says on these short intervals, it's not always so accurate. As long as they felt "comfortably hard", so they made you a little pooped but feeling like you could have done a few more, then your doing just dandy.

Thanks for taking care of Tia last night and today.

I hope your daughter gets feeling better! We have been dealing with the exact same sickness issues here too. Not much fun! Glad you felt up to getting a workout in! Great to have the nice weather too!

I should read your blogs more often. They really cheer me up. Well..it doesn't cheer me up to know that you are exhausted and your daughter is sick. Take care. If she can hold it down I always tell people raspberry or peppermint tea is better for rehydrating when you have the flu. Good luck.

That is dedication to make it out after a day like that.

Way to get in the miles later in the day!
