Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can........

Update:  I knew I could and I did!  Thanks Tom and Bonnie for the confidence!

Great run actually!  I decided that since I was such a wimp at trying to get out today that I was going to work hard once I got out there.  I feel like I did that.  I had three hills along my route today, (not Heartbreak Hill).  On each hill I went up and down it 2 times.  Also on the 4th mile I decided I would try to keep up with the 8:55 guy.  I ended up keeping up with the 8:37 guy!  That is my goal, to be able to keep up with the guy in the 8:30s for an extended amount of miles.  Someday down the road that will happen!  I haven't written my mile paces in for awhile, so I will today. 9:24, 9:14, 9:44, 8:37, 9:44, 9:32

Come on Kim you can do it! You've run in much worse circumstances than today. Remember you are one of the best of the WOWs!

From Bonnie on Fri, Mar 28, 2008 at 11:40:20

I know you can!!

Bonnie

PS Tom is a genuinely nice guy isn't he? You two are both so good to/for each other - you deserve each other!

From Kim on Fri, Mar 28, 2008 at 12:56:56

Thanks again Tom and Bonnie!

Bonnie: Yes, Tom is just a genuinely nice guy! I count my lucky stars everyday to have him in my life! Thanks for your compliments to us!

Great run Kim, I knew you could too...

The WOW factor will pay off for you, we have all earned that this year with the hard winter:)

Be safe out there! :)

That is so cool that you have a Jansen too! Where did you get the idea for the name? Just curious since I haven't seen it much. Dustin teaches school and he had a student with that name but they spelled it different. We liked it and then spelled it different. I am sure we are related to Dr. Ence somehow but nothing close that I know. There are a ton of Ence's in St George and we get asked that quite often but it is distant relation somewhere.

Great Job on your running too! Hopefully, some day I can add the miles. But I am feeling good that I am just trying to run. That is the first step right?!!!

Good job Kim!!! I knew you would get out and I had a suspicion you would be pushing the pace as well. Awesome job on the hills!

Thanks again everyone!

Sunny,

I liked watching Dan Jansen in the Olympics. Every time he fell he got back up and tried again. I was pretty inspired by his desire to keep going amid very trying circumstances. (He has really nice eyes too! But that, I'm sure, has nothing to do with me liking the name! :))
